Scheduling & booking
Standing groups
Recurring pods that generate sessions.
A group is a standing (recurring) pod of skaters, like "Sat AM Skills", that you don't want to re-enter every week. Groups generate sessions, take bookings, and get a health score.
Create a group
Two ways in:
- Groups → + New group — name it, then set day/time/members on its page, or
- When you Book ice, tick Save as standing group.
Generate sessions
On the group page:
- Set the group's weekday + time.
- Generate next 4 sessions — Carve creates the upcoming weeks, each auto-split across the group's members, in one tap.
- Mark the group bookable to let new families request the standing slot from your booking page.
Manage a group
Groups → tap a group to edit:
- name, rink, weekly day/time
- fee model + fee, ice cost, capacity
- empty-seat rule (split among present / you cover empty seats)
- booking visibility
- add or remove members — new members are included the next time you generate
- delete the group — sessions already generated stay on your calendar
Group Health Score
Each group carries a health score with recommendations — it flags a pod that's under-filled, leaking margin, or thinning out, and suggests what to do (fill a seat, raise the fee, merge). Deeper analysis lives in Profitability & economics.
