Skills & custom metrics

Define the 1–5 fields you track.

A skill (or metric) is a field you score 1–5 when logging a skate — Edges, Stride, Jumps, Puck protection. You define your own set, and it drives the log form and every recap.

Manage your skills

Skills page (from Players → Manage skills, or the sidebar):

  • Add your own skill (e.g. "Puck protection")
  • Rename a skill
  • Reorder them (the order they appear on the log form)
  • Remove one

Your list flows straight into the logging form, the parent recap, and the season report.

Defaults by sport

New accounts start with a sensible default set for their sport — hockey (Edges, Stride, Crossovers…) or figure skating (Jumps, Spins, Footwork…). Change them any time; they're just a starting point.

Removing a skill is safe

Old recaps keep the labels they were scored with. Removing a skill only stops it appearing on new log forms — your history stays intact and the progress charts still read correctly.
