The Carve workflow

One coaching cycle, start to finish.

Carve is built around one repeating loop: the coaching cycle. Everything in the app is a step in it. Here it is end to end. (This is the flow shown in the product's workflow video.)

The loop

① Book the ice

Tap + Book ice, pick the rink, date/time, ice cost, and your fee, then pick the skaters from your roster. Carve splits the cost across each family live as you add them — you never do the math. A Session P&L / break-even preview shows what the session makes before you commit. Optionally list it on your booking page. → Book ice & split the cost

② Run the skate

On the session page, mark who showed up — Present / Absent. The split recomputes around no-shows per your empty-seat rule. → Sessions

③ Log it rinkside

Open Log the skate: tap 1–5 for each skill, add a short note, optionally attach a clip — or record a voice note and let Carve draft the scores for you. Hit Save & send recaps and every family gets a private progress link. → Logging a skate & sending recaps

④ Collect what's due

Back on the session, each family shows Pack ✓ / Card ✓ / e-Transfer ✓ / $X due. Deduct from pack, Charge card, Mark e-Transfer paid, or Remind — one tap each, or Collect all in one. → Payments & reconciliation

⑤ The family sees it

The parent opens their private page: latest scores, the progress chart, the development plan, their pack balance, and the next skate with rink directions. No account needed. → What parents see

⑥ A new lead books

Your public booking page turns interest into requests. A new family picks an open session and sends a request — no payment yet. → Your public booking page

⑦ Confirm them

The Requests inbox shows pending requests. Confirm & add creates the family + skater, adds them to attendance, and folds them into the split. → Booking requests inbox

⑧ Review the week

Every Sunday, the weekly recap rolls up your net, best/worst session, what's unpaid, and open spots — with one suggested action. → The weekly business recap

…then back to ①.

The one-line version

Book the ice. Split the cost. Prove the progress.

Standing groups shortcut

For a weekly pod you don't want to re-enter, save it as a standing group and generate the next 4 sessions in one tap — steps ①–② are done for weeks at a time.
