Payments & money
A "Collect" tap did nothing. The family has no coverage for that method — no pack balance, or no card on file. Their row shows Remind instead (with their share + your e-Transfer address). Load a pack, add a card, or record an e-Transfer.
I marked an e-Transfer paid by mistake / it bounced. Tap undo next to the e-Transfer pill on that family — the payment record is removed and the share goes back to due.
A family's wallet went negative / ran out mid-month. Re-up them from Packs. The Renewals forecast warns you before this happens.
Card charges aren't real.
Without STRIPE_SECRET_KEY, cards run in demo mode (instant, not real money). Add your
Stripe key to take real payments. See Payments.
Sessions & splits
A family's share looks wrong. Check the empty-seat rule and who's marked Absent — the split recomputes around no-shows. Already-paid families keep their original share and aren't re-billed.
Two families with the same last name merged. They shouldn't — the roster picker keeps them separate. If you added a skater to the wrong existing family, edit the skater and attach them to the right one (or a new one).
Recaps & video
Parents can't see the clip I uploaded. The parent hasn't allowed video yet — the clip is stored but hidden until they consent on their page. The log form shows the consent status. See Video clips & consent.
Recaps aren't sending emails/texts.
Without an email/SMS provider configured, delivery is simulated (logged, not sent). Add a
provider to send for real; see README.md.
I lost signal while logging. Carve saves the entry as a draft and retries when you're back online — nothing is lost. See offline logging.
Booking & calendar
A session isn't showing on my booking page. It has to be marked List on my booking page (per session, or via a bookable group), and your booking page must be Published in Settings.
Google Calendar isn't syncing / no conflict warnings.
Connect it in Settings → Google Calendar — it needs setup (see
SETUP_GOOGLE.md). Without it, use the read-only
iCal feed instead.
Account
I forgot my password. "Forgot password?" on the sign-in page emails a 30-minute reset link.
Voice recaps / AI drafts aren't real.
They need OPENAI_API_KEY + ANTHROPIC_API_KEY. Without them the button fills a clearly-labelled
demo draft so you can see the flow. See Logging & recaps.
